National Simultaneous Storytime... from space!

National Simultaneous Storytime is an annual campaign now in its 21st successful year, aiming to encourage more young Australians to read and enjoy books. The initiative is held by the Australian Library and Information Association.

Each year a picture book, written and illustrated by an Australian author and illustrator, is read simultaneously across the country.

This year, Cobb+Co Museum will be hosting National Simultaneous Storytime on Wednesday 19 May at 11am. Come along to hear a special intergalactic reading of Give Me Some Space, written and illustrated by Philip Bunting. The reading will be read by astronaut Dr Shannon Walker from the International Space Station.

Una dreams of a life in Space. Life on Earth is just so so-so. But how will she get there? And will she complete her mission to discover life in Space? And did she remember to feed Neil the goldfish?

This event is designed for children age 6 and under. Each child will receive an activity pack to either take home with them or complete at the museum after the reading.

Gold coin donations are appreciated. Admission is free for residents of the Toowoomba Regional Council region with proof of residency.
