Curator Conversation

Local historian Peter Cullen presents 'Toowoomba's Great Orators' on Wednesday 5 August at 2pm.

Toowoomba's great orators include politicians, visiting dignitaries and others who spoke on behalf of Toowoomba on topics ranging from the location of a sanitary depot to the dedication of a memorial to fallen soldiers. Join Peter Cullen for a fascinating insight into the motivations and the achievements of these eloquent individuals from Toowoomba's past.

Peter Cullen is well-known for his history segment on ABC radio and conducts regular Tombstone Tours of the Drayton and Toowoomba Cemetery. As a member of the Toowoomba Historical Society, he carries out research on behalf of the Society and is also a regular guest speaker for community groups including Lions, Rotary and the Senior Citizens’ Respite Centre.

Part of the Curator Conversation series of talks on the first Wednesday of each month.
