Sandstone Sculpture Workshop

Welcome people to your home or garden with sandstone carving you have made yourself at one of Cobb+Co Museum’s stonemasonry workshops.

Prerequisite: Nil

Venue: Cobb+Co Museum, 27 Lindsay Street Toowoomba

Date: Saturday 19 July to Sunday 20 July 2014

Time: 9:00am - 4:00pm

Cost: $305, includes two days expert instruction, all materials, morning and afternoon tea and lunch

Age: 16 years and over

Requirements: Please wear closed in shoes, long pants and sleeves

All our Stonemasonry Workshops have a maximum of 8 participants to ensure you receive all the assistance and direction you require.

What will I do?

You will be proud to show off the decorative sandstone tile, stepping stone or plaque you have made yourself. 

Learn the basics of stonemasonry including the proper use of tools and create a flower, number or letter design.

Meet your Tutor

Our Stonemasonry Workshops are conducted by local stonemason Daniel Gill.

Daniel has been winning awards for his work since he began his apprenticeship in Brisbane in 1994.

He has nearly 20 years experience as a stonemason and specialises in restoring historical buildings and monument carving.

Daniel’s sculptures are also dotted throughout South East Queensland including the Lockyer Valley and Gold Coast.
