Get the most from the camera you received at Christmas and break free from Auto mode at this Basic Photography Workshop at Cobb+Co Museum.

You will learn camera terminology, how to decipher your camera manual and what the controls actually mean.

The workshop will also cover lighting your subjects for best effect, using natural light effectively and setting up cheap lighting alternatives.

This workshop is run in conjunction with the the Icons on Icons: A lifetime of living with the camera exhibition.

Meet your tutor

David Seeto has over 30 years’ experience in the areas of advertising, commercial, corporate and magazine photography. He has been a regular contributor to national magazines and editorials such as Vogue, House & Gardens, Wheels and Hoofs and Horns. David was also a founding member of the Australian Commercial & Media Photographers (ACMP), and has presented in workshops for professional photographers.

Photography has given David the opportunity to meet interesting people and publish a number of magazines and books. His latest book is a photographic record of Australian legend, RM Williams, following over 20 years of association and friendship.
